In World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Blizzard primarily wants to offer you one thing: more. More dungeons, more raids, more rewards; and also a lot more choices. This becomes clear if you look at the large amount of new race and class combinations. To get access to the best rewards you don’t have to be part of a big 25-man raid force any longer. 10-man raids now offer exactly the same item quality. This does not mean that smaller raids are easier, however. The difficulty of the raid instances scales in such a way that even small groups have to work hard on killing the boss monsters.

The Old World is completely revamped. Not one single area still looks the way you remember them from Wrath of the Lich King. This also means that you can finally use your flying mount in the Old World (for a small fee, of course).
If you always hated being bound to the ground, you can now saddle up on your dragon and explore Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms from above.
All the new areas in the Old World that are now unlocked invite you to explore the world once more. At the southern edge of Tanaris lies Uldum, the mythical home of the Titans. Once again Blizzard will deliver several 5-man instances along with every major raid instance to advance the storyline and give you a better story backdrop to try out those raid instances.
